Pay details: £131.25 per week

Required: A minimum of 5 GCSEs at grades A to C are required for this post, to include English and Maths along with 3 A levels at grade C or above. The ideal candidate will have the confidence to deal with various individuals and groups. They will be supported to undertake recognised qualifications, whilst gaining on the job experience. Applicants should be team players, reliable, adaptable conscientious and able to work to instructions and deadlines.

Description: This position is working for a firm of solicitors in their office based in Marsden, Huddersfield. Initial training will be given in the workings of a legal office and the general principles of English law. The successful applicant will then concentrate on : – Conveyancing and other aspects of land law – assisting with conveyancing processes. -Family and children law – assisting in divorce and child arrangement matters. Main duties will include: -Working with fee earners within the Property and Family departments, including contact with clients and others involved in the conveyancing transaction. -Making and receiving telephone calls so as to provide updates of information to relevant parties, as required. -Preparing and processing correspondence and documents through word processing and document management systems. -Assisting with the preparation and collation of correspondence and property reports. -Ensuring that an effective filing system is maintained. -Assisting in the dispatch of outgoing correspondence and enclosures. -Ensuring the confidentiality and security of the client and firm’s documentation and information. -Undertaking any specific training when required to do so.
