The Navigation Inn dates back to the 15th Century and was the site of the local Moot Hall. Some of the period features still remain in place today with a magnificent 16th Century Fireplace being the focus of one of the main dining areas. The pub retains the feel of a traditional bar.Dining ranges from a traditional favourites menu to the ‘Something Special’ selection. The Pub sits in the quiet outskirts of the town of Sowerby Bridge with views to the surrounding hills and the banks of the Hebble and Calder Canal. The tow path runs to the side of the pub and there is a mooring for boats 1 minute away. All food is home cooked from fresh with a wide range of menus available at all times. Allergies can be catered for. Parties and buffets are catered for with care and pride.

Hours: 28 hours per week. One day per week in college + Friday, Saturday and Sunday split shifts 9am – 1pm and 6pm – 9pm

Description: As an Apprentice Commis Chef your role will be to support the Head Chef in ensuring the efficient and effective running of the kitchen, whilst learning valuable skills to increase your own skills, knowledge and competency.
To ensure all food is served to the required standard – duties will include preparation and cooking of fish, meat and poultry dishes
To ensure that a high standard of cleanliness is maintained in the kitchen operation.
To use cleaning chemicals as directed, to achieve desired results and reduce wastage.
